Import Project data to your Lentune database in basic or advanced format.
Overview
You can import Project data from your project management system to Lentune.
You can export a file template and existing data for Projects in either a basic or an advanced format. The advanced format includes additional fields to the basic format.
HANDY TIP: There are several places in the database where you can access the Projects screen. It doesn't matter which menu you use. We'll use the Administration menu in this example.
Export Projects
- Start at Administration > Projects and click Import / Export.
- Click Basic Export or Advanced Export. Refer below for the fields for both of these options.
This creates an .XLSX file that you can use to add data and re-import, or transfer to other systems.
Import Projects
To import Project data from elsewhere, e.g. from your project management system, you will need to have the data in the required format from the exported template file.
To import Projects:
- Start at Administration > Projects and click Import / Export.
- Click Import.
In the Upload Document window:
- Browse for your file or drag it to the box and click Upload.
Your data will be uploaded.
Format Options
You can export data in the Basic Format or Advanced Format. Both options are imported from the same menu.
This table shows the fields for each option.
